There is no denying that the UFC’s lightweight division is arguably the most stacked division in the whole promotion, featuring legends both past and present.

With that being said, there is no surprise that the division has witnessed some of the greatest knockouts in the UFC.

The promotion has released a list of their top 10 knockouts in lightweight history, and you can watch that video further down this article.

We start off the list with one of the biggest moments in Abu Dhabi, where Dustin Poirier evened the score with long rival Conor McGregor.

Prior to the finish, Poirier had shut down McGregor’s movement with leg kicks, where he was able to back the Irishman into the cage and put together some relentless shots to finish the fight and become the first fighter to TKO the Irishman.

With Edson Barboza’s flashy kicks, there is no surprise the Brazilian makes his way onto the list, not only once, but twice!

He first appears in the number seven spot, where he catches Benil Dariush coming in for a takedown, timing a flying knee perfectly to shut his lights out.

The veteran’s second appearance tops the list with a must-see knockout.

Rising Chilean fighter Ignacio Bahamondes will come as no surprise to UFC fans as he appears in the list.

Bahamondes scored one of the best knockouts of 2021 with a spinning heel kick to Roosevelt Roberts, finishing him instantly to collect his $50,000 performance of the night bonus and to etch his name in lightweight history.

When you mention lightweight legends, you can’t leave out McGregor’s name, a man known for making history.

So there is no shock that the Mac’s most historic night places in the high end of the list.

At UFC 205, McGregor outclassed Eddie Alvarez to an essentially flawless victory to become the first simultaneous UFC champion.

The Irishman had an answer for all of Alvarez’s strikes, dropping him numerous of times to where in the second round, his counter striking was too elite in which he ended up finishing the fight to claim his second title.
