The match saw Flair pin Rousey to retain her title, which came as a surprise to many fans online, who expected Ronda to win.
And now, a new report has emerged, suggesting that Ronda was “furious” about her position on the WrestleMania card.
Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that he was told that Rousey thought she was going to be main eventing the show, but that honour went to Stone Cold Steve Austin and Kevin Owens.
Alvarez spoke about how he was told that Rousey was “furious” at WWE for changing their plans, explaining that she even walked out on Friday and wasn’t at the Hall of Fame.
“Ronda thought that she was going on last. She wasn’t. The Kevin Owens Show was going on last. And when she found out she was furious, I was told. One person who knows her, so I presume that this is true, said she was so mad Friday that she walked out. So she wasn’t at the Hall of Fame.
However, Ronda has outright denied that this is true, tweeting that she was honoured to perform under Stone Cold Steve Austin in Texas.
She also explained that she wasn’t at the Hall of Fame because she was putting her six-month-old baby to sleep.
I don’t know where these “reports” come from but it was an absolute honor to perform under Steve Austin at Wrestlemania in Texas-I wasn’t a hall of fame because I have a six month old baby I had to put to sleep early. Of course, the initial plan was for Rousey and Flair to close the show, but those plans changed when Stone Cold agreed to wrestle his final match.
