Cody Rhodes made his highly-anticipated return to WWE during last night's WrestleMania 38 show at AT&T Stadium.

Rhodes was revealed as Seth Rollins' mystery opponent, coming out with his full AEW presentation to beat the former WWE Champion.

This all came after Rhodes left AEW in February, returning to WWE for the first time since 2016, when he requested his release.

WWE treated Rhodes like a huge deal last night, and that continued today, with the 36-year-old taking part in a press conference with the media.

Cody told the media today in Dallas about his interaction with Stone Cold Steve Austin after his match with Rollins last night.

Rhodes explained that Austin, who went on to main event WrestleMania 38 night one, told him that he "needed" to have the match with Rollins.

Rhodes seemed to agree with that sentiment, later telling the media that he doesn't think his return match could have been against anyone other than Seth.

Rhodes cut several emotional promos last night after going to the back following his match, which you can find out more about by clicking here.

Cody is expected to cut his first promo on TV on tomorrow night's episode of Monday Night Raw, which is typically the most-watched episode of WWE TV each year.

There will likely be several interviews coming out with Cody over the coming days and weeks, as he now becomes a full-time member of the WWE roster for the first time in six years.
