Lorenzo Pellegrini has gone viral after channeling his inner-Jose Mourinho during Roma’s 1-0 win against Sampdoria on Sunday.Pellegrini was replaced late on as Mourinho’s side continued their fine run of form - Roma have now gone nine games unbeaten in all competitions.Mourinho’s debut season in charge of the Serie A club has been rather chaotic, but it will end on a high if he’s able to lead them to a top five finish or Europa League glory.

Mourinho was proud of the win

Their chances of finishing in the top five - and automatically qualifying for either the Europa League or Champions League - were boosted on Sunday thanks to Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s first-half goal.

“It was a difficult match, it’s tough to play here, Marco Giampaolo’s sides always have a clear philosophy,” Mourinho told DAZN afterwards, per Football Italia.

Roma also have a fixture coming up against title hopefuls Inter Milan that Pellegrini will want a clean slate for.

Let’s be honest, it wouldn’t be a massive shock if Mourinho was behind Pellegrini’s intentional booking.

Indeed, he even has previous when it comes to telling players to get carded...
