Charles Leclerc has said that he feels there is a lot more to come from him and Ferrari in the coming races, in what could be a bit of a warning to his rivals for the championship.

The Scuderia have started this season really well, with Leclerc winning the opening race in Bahrain and then coming a close second in Saudi Arabia after a great battle with Max Verstappen.

Indeed, he looks very much in the title race at this early stage of the campaign, and he'll be eager to maximise the opporunity that Ferrari look to have given him with their car.

Certainly, with him leading the championship at this early stage you have to suggest that he is a title contender but, that said, Leclerc actually thinks that there is a lot more to come from him and the team and so the rest of the field may well need to be prepared for that:

“I feel good in general, but there’s definitely more to come,” Leclerc said, as quoted by RacingNews365.com.

“The thing I’m happy about is not really the performance but that I know exactly where I still need to work, and what I need to improve to unlock more performance.

“Whether it will be enough or not to win the World Championship, I have no idea. It’s still very early on in the season, but let’s say that it’s a very good start to the season.

“As I said many times, I think development will be key, and we as drivers need to help the team in the best way possible to keep this competitiveness.”

If Ferrari and Leclerc get even better from where they are at the moment, they are going to take some stopping.

It's clear the Monegasque is hugely motivated and now he has the car to challenge for race victories each weekend, it's obvious he is going to be pushing hard for success.
