Bianca Belair may have defeated Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 38, but she still came away with some painful injuries. This yearâs WrestleMania was a classic and fans were treated to some iconic matches over the course of two nights at the AT & T Stadium in Texas. âStone Coldâ Steve Austin returned to defeat Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar and Charlotte Flair defended the SmackDown Womenâs Championship title against Ronda Rousey. Lynchâs match against Belair on Night One was also fascinating. The contest proved to be thrilling from start to finish, with memorable entrances and jaw-dropping spots. One of these spots saw Lynch kick the EST straight in the eye but it seems the move was botched somewhat and has done some nasty damage to Belairâs left eye.
Belair shows off brutal eye injury online
The new Raw womenâs champion took to social media to show off her bruised left eye and itâs safe to say the injury looks extremely painful.
Belair appeared to be in good spirits, however, and posted before and after shots of her eye, with and without makeup, on Instagram.
The EST captioned the post: âIâm still a baddie tho. The baddest.â
Belair becomes the new Raw womenâs champion
Belairâs victory saw her capture the Raw Womenâs Championship for the first time.
While her clash against Lynch wasnât the main event on Night One, it more than lived up to the hype.
The EST was out for revenge in Texas, having lost Lynch at SummerSlam last year. On that occasion, Belair lost in just 26 seconds ââ ending her reign as SmackDown womenâs champion.
After both were transferred to the Raw brand, their feud was re-ignited and the EST won at Elimination Chamber to set up a title shot with Lynch at the Show of Shows.
It seemed at one stage like Big Time Becks would retain her title, especially after delivering a brutal Man-handle Slam on the ring steps.
But Belair managed to kick out and countered with a KOD of her own. The EST then pinned Lynch to walk away from the AT & T Stadium as champion.
The victory was Belairâs second consecutive win at WrestleMania, having beaten Sasha Banks in last yearâs main event.
