Over the weekend, Conor McGregor took to Twitter to confirm his interest in WWE. However, many stars were not impressed by his comments.

It’s fair to say that WrestleMania 38 exceeded all of our expectations in what was an entertaining weekend of action.

For the third time in the history of the event, both Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar squared off in the main event.

Both the WWE and Universal Championships were on the line in a ‘Winner Takes All’ match.

The AT&T Stadium in Dallas would host the promotion's biggest event of the year.

In the main event of ‘Night 2,’ Reigns escaped an F-5 and delivered a Spear to win over bitter rival Lesnar.

Last weekend’s event got the world talking. Every time WrestleMania comes into town, the world watches.

With WrestleMania 38 trending across all forms of social media, it got several athletes talking, including an MMA icon.

‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor had his say on the event with the former two-division champion saying: “Why wasn’t I at WrestleMania? They all fear me, that’s why.”

McGregor’s tweet appeared to have angered many across the WWE community, including Drew McIntyre, who decided to respond.

Drew McIntyre quote tweeted Conor’s post saying: “Shut up McTapper.”

McIntyre is referring to Conor’s submission defeats to both Nate Diaz and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Conor has not fought since his trilogy fight with Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier at UFC 264 back in July of 2021.

McGregor is eyeing up a potential comeback in the summer, with several fighters being rumoured ahead of his return to the Octagon.

However, later down the line, it would seem as if the former two-division UFC champion has set his sights on competing in wrestling’s biggest promotion one day.

Conor is arguably the biggest star in the history of MMA. Therefore, WWE would not hesitate to give the Irishman an opportunity to compete in their promotion.
