The Australian Grand Prix is back after three years of not being held, and we can't wait to see F1 cars back at the Albert Park circuit.

Australia last hosted a Grand Prix in 2019, with the 2020 edition cancelled on the eve of the new season thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.

Indeed, since then, Australia has implemented strict restrictions on travel to try and prevent the spread of the disease, and that has meant F1 has not been able to get back into the country.

Things have changed now, though, with the teams already touching down in Australia and hopefully all ten can put on a great race for the Aussie fans who will have been counting down to this moment for some time.

What will the weather be doing this weekend in Melbourne, then? We take a look ahead at the forecast now, as we count down to lights out.

Friday

Friday sees pleasant conditions with a 10% chance of rain and highs of 23 degrees Celsius. The wind speed is currently predicted to be about 4mph and so settled weather look to be on the way for Friday.

Saturday

There's again just a 10% chance of rain on Saturday and highs of 26 degrees Celsius, whilst the wind is predicted to be at 9mph so, again, another pretty settled day for qualifying.

Sunday

Interestingly, there's a 50% chance of showers on Sunday and so we could get our first wet race of the season, though there's an equal chance it remains dry.

Highs of 26C are forecast for Sunday once more, whilst the wind is set to be at his strongest at 12mph.
