Dillian Whyte is eyeing up what would be, to many, a shock win over Tyson Fury to claim the WBC heavyweight title later this month.

Whyte has waited his time for a shot at a world title and will be keen to prove his worth in the ring against the Gypsy King on April 23.

The Bodysnatcher has an impressive record in the ring, with 30 fights, 28 wins – 19 of those by knockouts. His only defeats coming against Anthony Joshua in 2015 and Alexander Povetkin in 2020.

Whyte is known for his power and aggression in the ring, something that some believe may take Fury by surprise on April 23.

A video on Reddit has been shared showing the damage Whyte’s left hook can do against his opponents – leaving many questioning if this will be the punch that rocks Fury in the ring.

Tony Bellew surprised many by telling talkSPORT that he believed Fury will have to get off the canvas in the fight in order to retain his title.

“Dillian Whyte is a hard night for anybody. Anybody who thinks Dillian Whyte is going to be an easy fight is a fool… he’s big, he’s dangerous, he’s brave and he can punch. All those attributes will cause problems for anyone.

“And Tyson knows it too, he’s no fool, but with Tyson’s boxing ability, if he navigates his way through the first six, I expect him to come on strong in the second half of the fight.

“But, believe you me, I actually think he’s going to have to get off the floor.”

Meanwhile, UFC president Dana White told Sky Sports: "He's [Fury] the best. In the Wilder fights when he took those shots, got back up, won the fight, knocked him out.”

White is clearly team Fury ahead of the all-British heavyweight clash that takes place on April 23 - a fight that will be shown live on BT Sport Box Office.
