The long-awaited return of Bayley could come any week now, with SmackDown's longest reigning women's champion ready to take to the ring again. Rumours have been circling over when she will next appear on WWE and the Superstar herself is seemingly joining in with the fun.Fans have been waiting for The Role Model to make her comeback after she tore her ACL last July during training.Bayley was given a nine month recovery timescale, which at the time looked as though it would align perfectly with a WrestleMania comeback. However, a recent report from PWInsider tipped Bayley to return to television after the pay-per-view, which sparked a lot of talk over whether the latest instalment of Monday Night Raw would be the perfect opportunity.Amid the talks of whether Bayley would make a surprise appearance last night, The Role Model toyed with her supporters and joked she had in fact missed her comeback appointment because she overslept."Oh shiiiiiii… just woke up from a nap," she wrote on Twitter after the show had finished.

Before her injury, Bayley was part of the SmackDown roster and was locked in a feud with Bianca Belair, who was the blue brand champion at the time.

The two were scheduled to meet at Money in the Bank last year, but Bayley's absence put the rivalry on hiatus.

Belair has since switched to Monday night action as part of the WWE Draft, where she is now the new Raw women's champion.

Because she was absent during the Draft, The Role Model is now a free agent and could potentially join the red brand to reignite her feud with The EST of WWE.

Having won the Raw Women's Championship before, Bayley is no stranger to competing at the very top level. She also boasts two SmackDown titles and was the first woman to become both the WWE Women's Triple Crown Champion and the WWE Women's Grand Slam Champion.
