Logan Paul: Interesting clause negotiated into YouTube sensation's WWE WrestleMania deal

  • Ash Rose

Logan Paul is set to play a good guy role as part of his WrestleMania deal with WWE, according to reports.

On WrestleMania Saturday Logan teamed with The Miz to defeat the team of Dominik Mysterio, in a match that saw the social influencer brilliantly wind-up the crowd by imitating Eddie Guerrero’s famous mannerisms and playing up to his heel persona.

Following the match however, Miz turned on his tag team partner and hit him with a Skull Crushing Finale, eeemingly ending their alliance. With Logan suggesting the A-Lister was jealous of him taking his WWE spotlight during a post-match interview.

Now, according to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio the reason behind Miz’s turn on Paul is because Logan negotiated with WWE for a good guy role during his run.

I didn’t know this, I didn’t know it but it makes perfect sense. Do you know why they did the Logan Paul/Miz thing at the end [of their match at WrestleMania] that we couldn’t understand? Because when they made this deal with Logan Paul to do this angle, part of the deal was when the angle was over [Paul’s] gonna be babyface.

That was the idea. That was negotiated into the deal so I guess that’s why he was a babyface the first time too. […] This time obviously they expected when he was in Cleveland that he was gonna get cheered and he did the interview like he was gonna get cheered and he did not get cheered.

There is no word when we’ll see Logan Paul back in WWE and if he will continue his story with The Miz, but he has already confirmed he’s set for a prolonged stint in the company. While Miz appeared on Raw last night, defeating Dominik Mysterio in thirty seconds before he and Rey were attacked by Veer Mahan.

Logan made his WWE debut in 2021, siding with Sami Zayn and was in his corner for his match with Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 37. After the match he switched allegiances to Owens, only to be met with a Stunner from KO, much to the delight of the Florida crowd.
