Becky Lynch was the latest guest on Logan Paulâs Impaulsive podcast and she had a lot to say about her WrestleMania 38 defeat. Big Time Becks lost the Raw Womenâs Championship title to Bianca Belair on Night One of the Show of Shows, after being pinned by The EST of WWE. And speaking to Paul, who also featured at WrestleMania, Lynch revealed all about her feelings after losing the red brand belt.Â
What happened at WrestleMania 38?
Lynchâs match against Belair was fascinating. The two have been feuding since last yearâs SummerSlam and this contest proved to be thrilling from start to finish.
With memorable entrances and thrilling spots, it was Belair who eventually came out on top.
One of these spots saw Lynch kick Belair in the eye and The EST posted a photo of the brutal injury on social media afterwards.Â
It seemed at one stage like Big Time Becks would retain her title, especially after delivering a Man-handle on the ring steps.
But Belair successfully kicked out and countered with a KOD of her own to pin Lynch and capture the title.
Big Time Becks condemns Belairâs âarmyâ
Paul asked Lynch whether she felt comfortable speaking about the defeat, which prompted the Irish Superstar to start ranting about her opponent.
âWell, hereâs the thing right,â she stressed. âLast night, I go out there to the ring by myself like I always do, always by myself and then here she comes with a fri**en army. An army. Of course thatâs gonna throw me off my game. There was an army with her. I donât even know how many people were there. 100 people? Iâm by myself, of course it threw me off my game.
âI didnât have an army, which is why I lost. I didnât know ââ maybe someone was going to come and hit me with a trombone in the back of the head. I donât know. If I had an army thatâs what I would do.â
Paulâs co-presenter, Mike Maljak, then questioned whether Lynch had ever been hit by a trombone before, and Lynchâs response was hilarious.
âI mean not yet, but this is the wrestling business, you never know whatâs going to happen. A trombone, a trumpet, a clarinet. They could be flying willy-nilly all over the place.â
Lynch says sheâll come back even stronger
Despite losing the match, Lynch is adamant she is better than Belair and believes her opponentâs âarmyâ got to her on the night.
âI already beat her in 26 seconds. It shouldnât have lasted so long but that was only because it got in my head. But I dominated her. The next time Iâll get her,â she emphasised.
What followed next was a hilarious few minutes of self-discovery, whereby Lynch convinced herself that losing was actually a good thing, because sheâll now come back even better than before.Â
âI donât even care, but I do care. But no, hereâs the thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I donât care, but I do care, I care a little bit,â she tried to explain.
âBut the thing is, when I lose I really win, because I come back stronger. Yeah, thatâs what happens. Yeah, this is a good thing.
âItâs happened before. It happened at SummerSlam in 2018 and then I became The Man and became the biggest thing in the entire industry. It happened at Royal Rumble 2019. I lost my match early on in the night and then I came back and won the Royal Rumble.
âThis is good guys. Iâm gonna come back stronger than ever.â
Whatâs next for Lynch?
Big Time Becks didnât specify when a re-match against Belair could occur but itâs clear the Superstar is determined to reclaim her title.
Alternatively, her meaning of coming back âstrongerâ could involve igniting a rivalry with someone else or challenging for a different belt.
Whatever happens, we canât wait to see it.
