Mike Tyson once gave UFC stars Justin Gaethje and Ottman Azaitar a boxing lesson a full year before the American made his comeback against Roy Jones Jr in November 2020.

Amazing footage of 'The Baddest Man on the Planet' teaching the MMA fighters how to perform some of his signature moves has resurfaced online.

Filmed on a phone, the terrifying clip shows 'Iron Mike' sporting jeans, a loose-fitting polo shirt and white trainers - while Gaethje and Azaitar watch his every move.

The throwback footage has been shared on Twitter by boxing fan VtheEsquire and shows Tyson in his element.

Despite obviously being well past his prime, the 56-year-old ring legend didn't seem to have lost a step, as he demonstrated the 'peek-a-boo' style to the pair during a visit to his Tyson Ranch near Desert Hot Springs in South California.

The video has gone viral, racking up over 2 million views in less than a week.

Tyson, 56, is one of the most celebrated boxers of all time but is also a big fan of MMA, having struck up a friendship with UFC president Dana White and Professional Fighters League founder Donn Davis.

And the PFL chairman claimed Tyson had all the ability to become a world champion in the cage as well.

He told The Sun: “Mike would have been a champion at everything.

“It’s just how they said Lebron James could have played in the NFL, no question Mike could have been a champion in MMA.

“I’ve been with Mike dozens of times of the years and it just started by me reaching out to Mike.

“As a young boy I watched him fight and I followed his life as well as his career. And to me, most of my respect comes from how he’s handled his life.

“And how he has become a person who accepts everything, stays positive about everything, learns from everything and most of all has become a great counsellor for combat sports athletes.

“How to be a champion, what to do and what not to do, how to accept your own destiny.

"He really believed what I talked about in terms of the power being in the fighters hands. And Mike has just been a great advisor and a great friend.”
