Ronaldo, Kane, Salah: Players with the best goals-per-game ratio in Premier League since 2000

Harry Kane is closing in on Alan Shearer’s Premier League goals record.
The Englishman has scored 178 goals in England’s top tier, making him the fifth most prolific goal-scorer in Premier League history.
He’s now just 82 goals shy of Alan Shearer’s record. Still just 28 years old, Kane has a real chance of reaching Shearer’s mark.
Kane has been one of the best strikers in England’s top tier since 2000.
But what is his goals-per-game ratio compare and how does it compare to legendary strikers to have plied their trade in the Premier League in the 21st century?

Kane just falls shy of Aguero and Henry’s goals-per-game ratio in the Premier League since 2000.
The Tottenham striker’s ratio has actually gone down in the 2021/22 season as he’s ‘only’ notched 12 goals in 29 Premier League games.
Salah, despite not being an out-and-out striker, is fifth on the list, showing how ridiculous he has been for Liverpool.

His Premier League goals-per-game ratio is just higher than Suarez and Costa’s.
Fernandes comes in at an impressive 11th, just above Ronaldo.
Also featuring in the top 20 include Ba (15th), Rooney (17th) and Sanchez (20th).
