Liverpool have completed a move for Fabio Carvalho, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The youngster will join the Reds in the summer in a £7.7 million move from Fulham. Liverpool are set to announce the deal next month.

Carvalho is a special talent.

Fulham have been dominant in the Championship this season and Carvalho has been one of their best performers.

The 19-year-old, who can play as an attacking midfielder and as a winger, has scored eight league goals for the club in 2021/22.

Carvalho is one of the best teenagers currently plying their trade in England.

After his move, we've named the best teenage XI currently on the books at a Premier League side.

All the players below are 19 years old or younger as of April 8, 2022.

GK: James Trafford - Man City (on loan at Bolton)

Trafford has been an ever-present for League One outfit Bolton after joining in January. He has also featured five times for England's under 20s.

RB: Tino Livramento - Southampton

Livramento may well be the best teenage right-back in the world right now. He's been a revelation since signing for Southampton from Chelsea last summer.

CB: Andrew Omobamidele - Norwich

Omobamidele is highly thought of at Norwich. He's played five times in the Premier League this season and scored against Leeds in October. He's also played five times for the Republic of Ireland.

CB: Levi Colwill - Chelsea (on loan at Huddersfield)

Colwill appears to be the next big thing emerging from Chelsea's academy. Colwill has been rated the Championship's 35th best player this season by WhoScored as Huddersfield currently occupy third.

LB: Jarrad Branthwaite - Everton

We've been a little bit cheeky here as Branthwaite is predominantly a centre-back, but he is capable of playing left-back. He's played 11 times for Everton and is also an England U20 international.

CM: Hannibal Mejbri - Manchester United

United signed Mejbri in a €10 million deal from Monaco when he was just 16 years old. While he's only appeared once for United's first team, he's highly thought of and recently starred for Tunisia at the Africa Cup of Nations.

CM: Cole Palmer - Manchester City

Palmer has played 11 times for Man City in all competitions, scoring three times. He's also scored twice in four appearances for England U21s.

Pep Guardiola has previously said of him, per talkSPORT: “We have Cole Palmer who will be an exceptional player.”

LW: Anthony Elanga - Manchester United

The pacey forward is now a first-team regular at United. He's scored three times for the club, including in the Champions League against Atletico Madrid.

CAM: Fabio Carvalho - Fulham (will join Liverpool in the summer)

Carvalho, at 19, is already one of the best players in the Championship. Liverpool look to have got a real gem for a bargain.

RW: Harvey Elliott - Liverpool

Elliott has already played 19 times for Liverpool's first-team. He would have appeared a lot more had he not suffered a serious injury against Leeds United last September.

ST: Fabio Silva - Wolves

Wolves paid £35 million for an 18-year-old Silva's services in 2020, smashing a club record.

He's only hit the back of the net four times in 59 games but is starting to win Wolves fans over with some industrious displays in recent times.
