Dimitri Payet scored a quite ridiculous goal for Marseille in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.

If you haven't seen it yet, stop reading this article and check it out here.

It was just incredible.

Payet waited outside of the penalty area for a corner to be played to him and, with the ball bouncing, struck an unstoppable half volley that arrowed into the top corner.

You won't see a more aesthetically pleasing goal. Not to mention the insane technique required to pull it off.

But this is Payet we're talking about - one of the best technicians football has seen in recent years. We all knew he was capable of producing something like that.

We certainly miss him in the Premier League.

The Frenchman spent 18 months at West Ham and he was an absolute joy to watch every week.

During the 2015/16 season - his debut campaign in England - he won West Ham's Player of the Year award and was nominated for the PFA Players' Player of the Year Award.

He was that good.

Payet scored 15 goals in all competitions that season and was generally brilliant.

It all went wrong for him and West Ham when he demanded a move in January 2017 and returned to Marseille. But we wanted to remember his wonderful time in the Premier League with a compilation video of all his best moments.

Titled 'Streets Won't Forget Dimitri Payet at West Ham...' the six-minute video shows Payet in all his glory as he makes Premier League defenders look stupid.

What a video. What a player.

West Ham fans may not appreciate the way in which he unceremoniously left the club but they must surely appreciate the sensational player he was.
