Halo Infinite brought out a new update in April 2022 and the gaming community will be over the moon to hear that the volume has increased massively.
Updates are crucial for Halo as they can sort out bug fixes and introduce new content/gameplay changes to the game.
It is good that the developers update their game so quickly and the gaming community really appreciate everything they do.
Hopefully this latest update released will be exactly what the Halo community want and no doubt feedback will pour through over the next couple of weeks.
Halo Infinite April Update Massively Increases the Volume
In previous iterations of the Halo franchise, players could easily notice an enemy approaching using their radar. In Halo Infinite, that’s not quite the case. The radar is much smaller, and the maps are much bigger which can sometimes make finding an opponent more of a challenge than killing them. Something had to be done about it, and 343 Industries have come up with a solution.
Halo Infinite recently debuted its Season 1 – Mid-Season Update, and with it they have increased the game volume for certain aspects. These include things like footsteps, gunfire, and grenades. These kinds of quality of life improvements are what fans have been waiting for as it makes the game flow much smoother than before.
Following the update, which was released on Tuesday 5th April 2022, the game has become much louder with footsteps, gunshots and grenades being easier to hear for players throughout the game.
By boosting the audio of certain aspects, it gives the game a more tactical feel and less of a casual one. Gone are the days of aimlessly wandering around maps trying to find an enemy.
Other audio improvements come in the form of weapons charging up. Weapons such as the Plasma Pistol and the Ravager, which can both be charged up to fire a higher damage output, will be able to be heard more clearly by players.
Due to the fact that Halo Infinite has a smaller radar and larger maps, these audio cues are vitally important in the flow of how a match plays out. Fans can now use the radar combined with audio cues to pick out enemies more accurately and where they may be which is imperative for a modern day FPS game. This is making sure that Halo Infinite keeps up with competitors such as Call Of Duty and Fortnite.
This news comes to players just in time, as more gamers are returning to rack up points in the battle pass ahead of the release of Season 2: Lone Wolves. The second season of the game’s multiplayer is set to debut on May 3rd 2022 with the addition of two new maps at launch and an improvement to the multiplayer’s melee attacks.
The only thing that players will not receive at the launch of season 2 is the co-op campaign mode that they have demanded for since launch which will instead launch throughout the season.
The audio update is available alongside all the patch notes for the Season 1 – Mid-Season Update here. Do you think these audio changes were a good idea by 343 Industries?
