That is just outrageous from Diaz.

Per the xG philosophy, the goal was scored from 0.00xG (Rounded to two decimal places). That basically means the chances of Diaz finding the net was virtually impossible.

The veteran midfielder then turned to the crowd and waved in the knowledge that he had just done something truly ridiculous.

Of course, if the goalkeeper hadn't gone through such a lapse of concentration, the goal would never have been possible.

But Diaz still deserves so much credit to see the 'keeper off his line and have the skill to find the back of the net.

Diaz has had a decent football career.

Born in Argentina, Diaz started his career with Rosario Central in 2007.

He has gone on to represent Boca Juniors, Universidad Católica, Colon and Al Wahda. He joined Barcelona SC for his second spell in 2016 and has spent the last six years at the club.

In total, Diaz has scored over 100 goals in his career. He may never have scored a goal better than his one against Wanderers.
