Neil Warnock has officially called time on his stellar managerial career. The 73-year-old has retired after an incredible 42 years in the game and he will certainly go down as a legend.Warnock's first gig as a manager was in 1980 at Gainsborough Trinity and he then went on to manage the likes of Sheffield United, Leeds United, Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Queens Park Rangers and - most recently - Middlesbrough.

The English icon's final stint in the Premier League came with Cardiff City. Warnock joined the Welsh outfit in 2016 and helped them gain promotion from the Championship in 2017/18.

Cardiff only lasted one season in the top-flight, but that was more than enough time for Warnock to make some headlines.

In the 2018/19 campaign, he likened Liverpool's Mohamed Salah to Tom Daley and even labelled Premier League officials the 'worst in the world' after Cesar Azpilicueta's infamous offside goal for Chelsea.

Oh and Warnock also told Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker to 'f**k off' following a Cardiff win over Bournemouth.

After a brace from Bobby Reid secured a 2-0 home victory for his team, the outspoken manager was approached by the BBC for an interview.

And when he became aware that it would be for Match of the Day, Warnock had some choice words for the programme's host.

To be fair, he had no idea the cameras were rolling...

“Match of the Day? Tell Gary Lineker to f*** off,” he jokingly said in footage caught live on Canadian TV.

“Oh, have you caught that on camera? He called me Colin. Can I say ‘I’m Colin here’. You don’t know why I’m Colin do you? Right.”

A truly classic Warnock moment.
