Real Sociedad kept themselves firmly in the hunt for Champions League qualification with a 2-1 win away at Elche.Imanol Alguacil's side were made to work hard for three points on Sunday, but eventually got the job done.La Real fell behind early thanks to Guido Carrillo's strike in the third minute and it took the Basque outfit until the half-hour mark to equalise through Alexander Sorloth.The visitors then moved into a 2-1 lead just before the half-time interval and it was centre-back Robin Le Normand who delivered the goods in front of goal.La Real held on to their slender lead in the second period and they now sit just three points behind Atletico Madrid in fourth place.Sunday was certainly a huge test for the White and Blues, one that should have been made slightly easier by Alexander Isak.
The Swedish striker - who's had a bit of a torrid time in front of goal recently - thought he'd equalised for La Real in the 19th-minute from the penalty spot.Isak actually beat Edgar Badia in the Elche goal from 12 yards, but the goal was quickly disallowed and an indirect free-kick was awarded. The La Real man was also booked.So you're probably wondering how that's possible, right? Well, it's due to the fact that Isak stopped after he completed his full run-up, which completely fooled Baria and allowed the taker to roll the ball into the net with ease.That's an illegal move these days and the infringement was spotted by the referee, who administered the correct punishments.Check out the bizarre incident here...

Quite a few years back, Barcelona legend Lionel Messi was cautioned by the referee for 'illegal feinting' while taking a penalty against AC Milan, an incident we recently revisited HERE.
But unlike Isak, the little Argentine maestro was allowed to re-take the spot kick and that's due to a slight tweak to the rules in more recent times.
