However, the title race wasn't the only story of the Premier League weekend.

It was also a fantastic weekend if you're a Tottenham fan.

They saw Arsenal lose to Brighton on Saturday afternoon before following that up with a big victory over Aston Villa on Saturday evening. It means they sit three points clear of their north London rivals in fourth having played a game more.

Then, down at the bottom, relegation may well have been settled following wins for Newcastle, Leeds and Everton coupled with damaging defeats for Burnley and Watford.

So, how will the Premier League table look come the end of the season?

Well, the data experts, FiveThirtyEight, have worked that out following this weekend's results.

Let's start off at the top and Man City now have a 67% chance of reclaiming the title. However, they're predicted to finish on 91 points which will mean they will draw two matches between now and the end of the season.

But Liverpool are projected to finish on 89 points, meaning they will have a loss and a draw in their seven games remaining. They now have a 33% chance of winning the league.

Chelsea finish 13 points behind City and it is indeed Spurs who edge out Arsenal for fourth, finishing two points above them. United are sixth, eight points adrift of Champions League qualification.

West Ham, Wolves, Leicester and Crystal Palace make up the top 10.

Down at the bottom, the current bottom three are all set to be relegated with Norwich (20th), Watford (19th) and Burnley (18th) not doing enough to survive. Everton finish three points clear of the drop with a 32% chance of relegation.

Back to the title-race and, while they may have a 67% chance of winning the league now, Guardiola believe they've given Liverpool 'a life'.

"It was a fantastic game, both teams trying everything to win," Guardiola told a news conference.

"I felt we let them have a life from here but Liverpool are a joy to watch. I know how good they are and there is no doubt about that but I am so proud of my team.

"I said head up, not down, announce around the world how well we played. We have to win the seven games or it is over. We will play for that, that's all."

If FiveThirtyEight's predictions are accurate, there could be a few twists and turns to come...
