The worlds of WWE and football rarely meet, but the athletes involved in both can be quite similar.

If you're looking at Roman Reigns, you can definitely see some similarities between him, and some of the greatest footballers of the 21st century.

The same can be said for the players, as there are definitely some ballers that are similar to the Superstars we see in the world of WWE.

So, taking that into consideration here's a list of 10 WWE Superstars, and the footballer they are most similar to.

Edge & Christian Eriksen

Edge WWE Christian Eriksen

Both Edge and Christian Eriksen thought that they'd never be able to do what they love again.

Edge was forced to retire from wrestling in 2011 due to a series of serious neck issues, while Eriksen was unable to play for close to a year after suffering a heart attack on the pitch during Euro 2020.

However, both men, thanks to some incredibly hard-working medical professionals and a touch of good luck, were able to clear the tests needed and have since returned to their beloved sports, much to the delight of the fans.

Omos & Peter Crouch

Omos WWE Peter Crouch

There isn't much to this one, other than the fact that both men are absolutely huge.

Peter Crouch was an absolutely giant on the football pitch, with his 6ft 7'' frame dwarfing over pretty much everyone he shared the pitch with.

The same can be said for the 7ft Omos, who made the 6ft 2" Bobby Lashley look like a shell of a man at WrestleMania 38.

The similarities between the two do end there, but the sheer size of the men compared to their respective colleagues means they are pretty alike.

The Undertaker & Cristiano Ronaldo

The Undertaker WWE Cristiano Ronaldo

The Undertaker and Cristiano Ronaldo might not seem too similar on the face of it, but the more you think about it, the more alike they become.

Both 'Taker and Ronaldo are two of the best in history to do what they do, but are both well past their best right now.

The Undertaker is probably one of the first names that a non-WWE fan would bring up if they were asked to name a wrestler, and Ronaldo would be the same for a footballer.

But whatever you say about them now, what makes Ronaldo and Undertaker most alike, is what they've achieved in their respective sports, and the respect they've ammased.

Riddle & Allan Saint-Maximin

Riddle WWE Allan Saint-Maximin

Their long locks are the where the similarities between Riddle and Allan Saint-Maximin stop.

Both Riddle and ASM have a wild side, but can turn it on when it really matters.

The pair both have bags of potential, and could end up being one of the very best to do what they do in years to come.

Plus, who wouldn't want to go on a night out with Riddle and ASM? That sounds like fun.

Charlotte Flair & Kasper Schmeichel

Charlotte Flair WWE Kasper Schmeichel

No matter what Charlotte Flair does in WWE, people are always going to compare her to her father, Ric Flair.

Someone who knows how that feels is Kasper Schmeichel, who despite being a top Premier League keeper, will always be compared to his father Peter.

Both Ric Flair and Kasper Schmeichel are recognised as one of the best at what they do, and their kids have had to carry that into their careers.

There's even an argument to suggest that both Charlotte and Kasper would have been respect a lot more if they weren't children of legends.

The Miz & Ashley Cole

The Miz WWE Ashley Cole

The Miz and Ashley Cole are two of the most hated people in the worlds of WWE and football respectively.

The ironic thing is, both men seemed to really enjoy and relish being the bad guy, and there's arguably no one better.

Despite that, as is the case with The Miz and Cole, while both may be hated by fans, you can't deny just how talented both men are.

Seth Rollins & Sergio Aguero

Seth Rollins WWE Sergio Aguero

Both Seth Rollins and Sergio Aguero won the biggest prize possible in the most dramatic fashion possible.

Aguero scored a last-minute goal for Man City as his side beat QPR 3-2 in 2012 to become Premier Legue champions.

Three years later, at WrestleMania 31 in April 2015, Rollins cashed-in his Money in the Bank contract during the main event match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar to become WWE Champion.

Rollins is tremendous at what he does, as was Aguero while he was playing, but their dramatic big wins really show how much they are alike.

Brock Lesnar & Kevin De Bruyne

Brock Lesnar WWE Kevin De Bruyne

Just when you think we've seen the best of Kevin De Bruyne, and he's on the decline, he manages to pull out another world class run.

Looking at the world of WWE, we could probably say the same for Brock Lesnar, who after considering retirement in 2020, returned in 2021 for one of the best runs of his career.

Over the last few months, both men have showed that despite being around for a good amount of time, they're still the very best at what they do.

Both also get really quite red once they've gone further into the match, which does help with the comparison.

Roman Reigns & Virgil van Dijk

Roman Reigns WWE Virgil van Dijk

The auoura that Virgil van Dijk and Roman Reigns is unrivaled in their own sports, but pretty similar within their each other.

Whenever some steps into the ring with Reigns, they look shot of confidence, such is the presence of the Unified WWE Universal Champion.

For what it's worth, the same can be said for Van Dijk. Attackers look noticeably nervous whenever they're charged with running up against the Dutchman.

Both men are also probably the best in their league, which again doesn't hurt the comparison.
