Manchester City and Liverpool drew 2-2 in their crucial Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

There was high expectations for the game and it delivered with both sides giving everything to emerge victorious.

Kevin De Bruyne gave City the lead after five minutes, only for Diogo Jota to restore parity eight minutes later.

City took the lead once again through Gabriel Jesus' 37th minute goal, only to be pegged back just a minute after the break courtesy of Sadio Mane's strike.

There were no further goals as the spoils were shared.

The atmosphere inside the Etihad Stadium was incredible throughout as both sides played their part.

Liverpool's supporters, as always, were in fine voice.

The travelling supporters were made to stay in their seats for an extended period after the game.

Jurgen Klopp came back out of the dressing room to thank them for their support.

And the away end erupted as they chanted his name. The noise they created was crazy and you can view fan footage of it below...

Former Man City ace Nigel De Jong was covering the game as a pundit for DAZN and he went full fanboy after Klopp's actions.

He said: "How can you not like this guy? I'm City bias but you cannot dislike this. The relationship he has with his fans, he always takes his time for them. He's a great coach for the club."

Speaking of the moment after the game, Klopp said, per Goal's Neil Jones: "I was looking for my missus! She was in there. The support was incredible again. It was not to celebrate, it was just to show appreciation.

"No, I didn't find her! But she was there!"

The Premier League title race is set to go down to the wire following the draw.
