Champions League football is here again tonight, we have a huge quarter-final second leg fixture taking place between Bayern Munich and Villarreal.

The reigning German champions were left shellshocked after a surprise first-leg win for the La Liga side - with Dutch winger Arnaut Danjuma scoring the only goal of the game after just eight minutes.

Home advantage will surely benefit Julian Nagelsmann's team, but the expected gulf in class between the two teams at the Estadio de la Ceramica was nowhere to be seen. If anything, Villarreal were probably the more dominant - so this should be a very interesting second leg.

With this in mind, here’s everything you need to know about Bayern Munich against Villarreal.

Team News

Bayern's injury list remains pretty similar to that of the first leg, with Florentin Tolisso, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Bouna Sarr all sidelined with long term injuries. Important centre-half Niklas Sule however looks doubtful, he's had a fever this week so he may miss this crucial tie.

The Yellow Submarine will be without former Liverpool man Alberto Moreno after he suffered quite a bad cruciate injury in early March. Other than that Emery has no other suspended or injured players – meaning he has pretty much his desired squad at his disposal.

Bayern Munich Predicted XI: Neuer; Pavard, Upamecano, Hernandez, Davies; Kimmich, Goretzka, Sane, Muller, Coman; Lewandowski

Villarreal Predicted XI: Rulli; Foyth, Albiol, Torres, Estupinan; Parejo, Coquelin, Capoue; Lo Celso, Danjuma, Moreno

Thomas Mueller of FC Bayern Munich runs with the ball during the Champions League Quarter Final Leg One match

Despite the shock result last week in Spain, Bayern are still heavy favourites for this one. We think with the home support behind them and the overall firepower they possess, they'll be able to conquer Unai Emery's side and progress to the semi-finals of this Champions League campaign.
