The first 90 minutes of Real Madrid vs Chelsea was absolutely electric.Chelsea travelled to the Santiago Bernabeu 3-1 down from the first leg and without much hope of reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League.Thomas Tuchel's side were woeful at Stamford Bridge last week, but they were a completely different team in Madrid on Tuesday.Chelsea took a 1-0 lead in the first half through a superb first-time finish by Mason Mount and they doubled their advantage just after the restart courtesy of Antonio Rudiger's header from a corner.The Blues thought they'd moved ahead in the tie on 62 minutes when Marcos Alonso smashed the ball past Thibaut Courtois, however, VAR controversially ruled out the strike for a 'handball' by the Spanish left-back.

Chelsea did take a three-goal lead shortly after that incident, though.
Heavily-criticised striker Timo Werner waltzed through the Real Madrid defence in the 75th-minute and then found the back of the net to make it 3-0 to the west London outfit on the night.
At that point, Chelsea thought they were heading through, but the hosts got themselves back in the tie just five minutes later through second half substitute Rodrygo Goes.
The finish from the Brazilian forward on the volley was magnificent - and the assist from the ageless Luka Modric was even better.

Wow. At the age of 36, Modric is still producing world-class moments in the Champions League on a regular basis and the word 'legend' doesn't really do him justice.
So, it went to extra-time at the Bernabeu and in the first half of the additional 30 minutes, Karim Benzema capitalised on a slip from Rudiger and scored yet another header to put Real Madrid 5-4 up on aggregate.

That goal was the final act of a true Champions League classic and it means Los Blancos have booked their place in the semi-finals, where they will play either Manchester City or Atletico Madrid.
