Extra tickets have gone on sale for the World Championship title clash between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano on April 30th.

Tickets have been snatched up for what has been dubbed as the biggest women’s boxing match of all-time.

The highly anticipated showdown will take place at Madison Square Garden and it looks likely that the clash could sell out the New York venue.

Taylor and Serrano will become the first women in MSG's 140-year history to headline a boxing event at the iconic arena.

Madison Square Garden has a 20,000 capacity for boxing events and following the high demand for tickets, it is anticipated that the two women will be performing in front of a close to sell-out crowd.

An estimated 4,500 fans will travel from the UK and Ireland to watch lightweight champion Taylor lay down her WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring titles against her Puerto Rican opponent.

Serrano, who is the current WBC, WBO and IBO featherweight champion, signed with Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions back in September 2021.

Paul has been working closely with Serrano and recently revealed he was eyeing a "seven figure pay-day" for the titanic clash between his client and Taylor. He has also taken time away from the ring in order to focus on Serrano's big moment.

Taylor's promoter, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing, described his client's fight as a "monster event" and is confident the fight will be one of the biggest in boxing history overall, not just in women's history.

Hearn admitted when he first signed Taylor, he did not expect the sport to be catapulted into the spotlight as much as it has done.

"If you'd have told me at that moment that we would be here with this fight, I'd say that was a tall task. Even when we [the tickets] went on sale — you hope it will do well but I wasn't actually expecting it to do as well as it did.

"But it's a great moment for the sport and we keep saying it's the biggest female fight of all time, it's one of the biggest fights of all time and I can't wait to see it in action."

Taylor's last fight came against Firuza Sharipova of Kazakhstan in December, with the Bray Bomber winning via unanimous decision.

Serrano also fought in December, beating Spain's Miriam Gutierrez via unanimous decision.

Hearn believes the New York title bout will be a 50/50 split when it comes to who will walk out of the ring as the winner. Taylor is the undisputed, undefeated champion and Serrano has lost just one match in her entire career, which came back in 2012.

The stakes are high and the countdown is on for the blockbuster clash, scheduled to raise the roof of Madison Square Garden.
