Cristiano Ronaldo Jr certainly has a good role model when it comes to football. The eldest son of arguably the greatest footballer to ever walk the earth, Cristiano Jr seems to be enjoying the beautiful game despite still being far too young to be thinking about a professional career within it.Any slither of information that emerges about the 11-year-old's endeavours in football tends to make international headlines with fans wondering whether or not he will follow in his father's footsteps.

Cristiano Junior and Senior

The occasional clip has emerged of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's son participating in games for Juventus' youth teams as well as enjoying football away from a competitive setting.

And since Ronaldo senior embarked on a move back to Manchester United last summer, Cristiano Jr has also pulled on the famous red jersey as he continues his journey in the world of youth football.

Naturally, that is only going to make the Old Trafford faithful wonder if the day will ever come that another Ronaldo brings them to the feet playing the game that we all know and love.

Whether or not that will happen remains to be seen and power to Cristiano Jr for following whatever passion he might choose, but there is certainly reason to believe that the youngster has got the skills to pay the bills.

That's because rare footage has emerged of the United prodigy channelling his father by scoring for the Red Devils' under-12 side this week.

Cristiano Jr is part of a United cohort playing at the MIC Cup, which is an international youth football tournament that brings some of the world's best academies to the Costa Brava every Easter.

And it just so happens that Ronaldo's son scored in United's game on Wednesday with the Premier League academy's U12 outfit winning 5-0 against CEF Gironès-Sàbat in Group E.

Cristiano Jr rounded off the emphatic victory in an encounter which also saw Tunde Shoretire, Edson Dejonge-Seiros, Joseph Deighton and Eddie Wright pen their names on the scoresheet.

However, not only did Cristiano Jr remind fans of his father by finding the net, but he also went one step further by whipping out the 'SIU' celebration itself in charming footage that you can check out below:

The apple never falls far from the tree.

Like father, like son

While, yes, it's not exactly a screamer that makes you think he's going to dominate the sport one day, it's just great to see Cristiano Jr enjoying his football as any boy or girl should at that age.

That being said, there's no denying that his father seems to have one eye on a world where Cristiano Jr also seeks a career in football, even half-joking about a future where they share the pitch together.

According to AS, Ronaldo senior once said when talking about his future in football: "Sometimes, my son will say to me, ‘Dad, keep going for a few more years - I want to be able to play with you..’ It's very difficult but I can do it, you never know"

We're pretty sure that would entail a near-impossible world where Ronaldo is still playing at the top level when he's 43 years old, but if anyone is capable of achieving that, then it's certainly 'CR7'.

In the mean time, though, it's just lovely to see that Cristiano Jr also has a love for football regardless of whether or not he'll choose it as his career one day. Fair play, kid.
