Chaos erupted at the end of the Champions League tie between Atletico Madrid and Manchester City at the Wanda Metropolitano on Wednesday evening.City were leading the tie 1-0 late in the game.Atletico were starting to lose their heads and Felipe floored Phil Foden with a heavy challenge, which left the Englishman writing around on the floor in agony.Stefan Savic, who used to play for City from 2011-2012, was not impressed. The Serbian sparked chaos as he dragged Foden off the pitch.

City's players, including Raheem Sterling, came to Foden's aid and confronted Savic.

Savic responded by 'headbutting' the English winger in footage you can view below.

Savic wasn't done there.

John Stones ran across to try and calm Savic down and it looked like it was working.

But then Jack Grealish came across and had some words with Savic. The defender responded by pulling Grealish's hair with some force.

Savic was very lucky that VAR did not see any of the two incidents.

He was given a yellow card for his role in the melee but it could have easily have been a red.

Atletico did go down to 10 men, though, with Felipe being shown a second yellow card after his kick out on Foden.

Atletico ended up losing the game and being knocked out of the Champions League. Savic, perhaps surprisingly, was still on the pitch at the final whistle.

He was still up for a fight, though.

The two teams clashed in the tunnel and it was no surprise that Savic was involved.

The 31-year-old could be seen exchanging words with Grealish, with Å ime Vrsaljko trying to get at numerous Man City players and staff further down the tunnel.

Savic completely lost it during the chaos at the end of the match.

UEFA have launched a disciplinary case into the events and Savic could well still be punished.
