‘Sugar’ Sean O’Malley has had his say on Paddy Pimblett’s recent decision to gain weight.
Following his recent win against Kazula Vargas at UFC London last month, Pimblett has gone on an eating spree.
The lightweight now weighs a staggering 220lbs, a massive contrast to his 155lbs weight ahead of his UFC London showdown against Vargas.
O’Malley and Pimblett have previously gone back and forth on Twitch, however, it’s understood that the pair are now “boys".
Speaking on the BrO’Malley podcast, ‘Sugar’ believes that Pimblett’s excessive weight gain will eventually catch up with him.
“With that being said, he cannot get that fat after each fight."
O’Malley explained: “It's [Pimblett’s weight gain] going to catch up. It's going to f****** catch up.
“I can't even talk, I get faded after my fights,” O’Malley said. “So scratch that. On the weekends I get f***** up. I don't get fat. My weight doesn't get bad. Just being judgmental, we're on a podcast."
Following his win at UFC London, Pimblett spoke to the Daily Star explaining what he does after every fight.
“I eat so many calories it's unbelievable. On Monday I actually gauged what I ate. I had 10,700 calories. And that's without me doing a food challenge. That's just be being a fat b******."
In the post-fight press conference at UFC London, Pimblett said: "I'd rather be fat and happy than ripped.
"These people who are ripped all year round aren't happy. I'm not arsed, I don't care what they say. This six-pack is sound and I look great, but I'd rather be fat and happy."
In a recent video on his YouTube channel, ‘The Baddy’ explained what he’s been up to since submitting Vargas at the O2 Arena.
"I am eating like a king. Resting that ACL lad getting fat. That belly is back."
It’s rumoured that the UFC will return to England in July. Should it come to fruition, will we see Paddy fight on the card?
