Diego Simeone walks out of press conference after ‘cheeky’ Real Madrid question

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone left his post-match press conference after being asked by a reporter to give Real Madrid advice on how to defeat Manchester City.
Simeone had just watched his side crash out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage following a 1-0 aggregate defeat to City.
Kevin De Bruyne’s goal in the first leg was enough to send the Premier League outfit through to the semi-finals at Atletico’s expense.
Pep Guardiola’s revered team will now take on Real Madrid over two legs for a place in the Champions League final, which takes place at the Stade de France on May 28.
The winners of that tie will play either Liverpool or Villarreal for the chance to be crowned champions of Europe.
Simeone became increasingly animated and agitated as the clock ticked down to full time on Wednesday night.

Nine minutes of stoppage-time were added at the end of the match as the two sets of players clashed.
There was more drama inside the tunnel involving the likes of Sime Vrsaljko and Scott Carson, forcing police to intervene.
Simeone leaves press conference after Real Madrid question
Simeone conducted a nine-minute press conference which ended abruptly after the Argentine coach was asked to provide Atleti’s fierce local rivals with advice on how to beat City.
The reporter asked: “Is it very cheeky for me to ask you if you could give Real Madrid some advice on how to defeat City?”
Simeone promptly got up and said: “No, I would never dare to do that.”

What a question!
No wonder Simeone walked out of the press conference. There’s zero chance of him offering Real Madrid tactical advice at the best of times, let alone when he’s just experienced a crushing defeat.

Furthermore, Simeone’s tactics failed to prevail against Man City, who are now the favourites to lift the European Cup for the first time next month.
