UPDATE 30th May 2022: Kambosos Jr recently called Haney a “rat” and an “informant” ahead of the fight night on Saturday 3rd June 2022!
He said in a press conference before the contest: “I really don’t know how they let this guy into the country, to be honest. I don’t think they let informants into the country.
“This guy is an informant, this guy is a rat and I’ll tell you why: The Teofimo Lopez fight with a foreigner against his own countryman, he was messaging me telling me all the details.
“This is a rat, this is a sneaky informant and you know what? This is your own countryman you’re going behind his back.
“So, you know what? On Sunday, I’m going to whip your a** and when you’re back in Las Vegas, you’ll be on the lookout for Teofimo Lopez because he’ll be looking for you too.”
Kambosos Jr. vs Haney is set to take place on Saturday 4th June 2022.

“On June 4 at the amazing 60,000+ seat Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia, I get to do just that at home in Australia’s biggest boxing event ever, when I defend my IBF, WBO, WBA, WBC Franchise and Ring Magazine lightweight world titles against Devin Haney, who will be putting up his version of his WBC title.
