The opening of the summer transfer window is fast approaching and Neves is likely to be at the centre of a tug-of-war as Wolves look to keep one of their prised assets in the West Midlands.
What’s the latest news involving Neves?
Wolves head coach Bruno Lage has seemingly attempted to deter suitors from lodging a bid by claiming Neves is worth £100million.
Meeting that figure would result in almost all clubs having to shatter their record transfer fee, while The Sun have revealed that Wolves have entered discussions over extending the central midfielder’s contract.
However, holding talks does not necessarily mean that Neves will remain at Molineux beyond the end of the campaign as the report suggests the West Midlands outfit may look to cash-in on the 26-cap Portugal international if he chooses not to commit his long-term future to the club by signing on the dotted line.
He is currently on the sidelines until next month after suffering a medial collateral ligament injury to his knee prior to the recent international break.

What has Pete O’Rourke said about Neves?
O’Rourke believes Wolves are still in the driving seat if interested parties look to test their resolve by tabling a bid for Neves when the transfer window reopens.
The journalist reckons the West Midlands outfit would stand to pocket upwards of £50million if it becomes clear Neves wants to move on to pastures new.
O’Rourke told GIVEMESPORT: “I think Wolves are still in a good position. It would take a big-money offer for them to consider selling him right now. You’re probably talking about £50million-plus.”
Who has been showing an interest in Neves?
It is understood that Neves is high on Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s shortlist of targets heading into the summer.
The Gunners, along with Premier League rivals Manchester United, also pursued the 25-year-old during the January transfer window.
Alternatively, Neves has options overseas as Barcelona are keen to strike a deal which would take him to La Liga and the Catalan giants have already held talks with the midfielder’s intermediaries.
Italian media outlet Calciomercato have revealed Juventus are also hoping to clinch Neves’ services.
