Liverpool fans unhappy with Alan Shearer’s tweet about Jurgen Klopp’s MNF appearance

Football News

The reaction to Jurgen Klopp’s appearance on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football show was overwhelmingly positive.

The Liverpool boss was passionate and enthusiastic throughout his one-hour segment, offering insight into his tactical approach to matches alongside former Red, Jamie Carragher.

However, not everyone was impressed. Some Liverpool fans expressed their concern on Twitter that Klopp may have revealed a little too much information while Alan Shearer also couldn’t understand why the charismatic German coach had agreed to appear on the programme.

Shearer, the Premier League’s all-time top scorer who works as a pundit for Match of the Day, admitted that Klopp was great to watch but he wasn’t convinced it would benefit the Liverpool manager.

The former Newcastle United star, who was in charge of the Magpies when they were relegated to the Championship in 2009, expressed his opinion on Twitter - but Liverpool fans weren’t too pleased with it.

Klopp enhanced his profile last night

Klopp enhanced his profile - not that it needed enhancing - with his appearance on MNF and this was the main benefit for the 49-year-old.

He can also rest easily knowing he’ll have a job at Sky Sports if Liverpool decide to get rid of him at some point in the future.
