The top four race is really hotting up now.

A few weeks ago, Arsenal were in the driving seat. This morning it was looking like Antonio Conte's Tottenham team had wrestled back control. Now, who knows...

Spurs would have moved six points clear of the Gunners today had they beaten Brighton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and even though their north London rivals had two games in hand, their goal difference was superior.

It wasn't to be for Spurs though, who put in a lacklustre performance on the day and allowed Brighton to dominate proceedings for large portions of the game.

The Seagulls eventually got their just rewards in the 89th minute, when Leandro Trossard picked up an unfortunate deflection off of Cristian Romero, sold Eric Dier a cheeky feint and slid the ball past Hugo Lloris into the far corner.

It was a wonderful finish by Trossard as he stunned the home fans inside the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. Watch his goal below...

Spurs still had time to bag a late equaliser but they could not find the goal they desperately needed.

The top four race is wide open once again.

Tottenham remain in fourth position and three points above fierce rivals, Arsenal.

However, Arsenal have two games-in-hand and could draw level on points if the beat Southampton later on Saturday.

Manchester United aren't out of the mix, either, while a flurry of wins for West Ham could see them vault themselves back into contention.

The match between Tottenham and Arsenal at Tottenham Hotspur stadium, scheduled for May 12, is set to be a cracker.
