Manchester United returned to winning ways on Saturday afternoon.

After a dismal showing away at Everton last weekend, the Red Devils bounced back with a 3-2 win over soon-to-be relegated Norwich City at Old Trafford.

A hat-trick from Cristiano Ronaldo secured all three points for United, who are now above Arsenal in the Premier League table.

Ralf Rangnick's side raced into a 2-0 lead in the first half thanks to a quickfire brace by Ronaldo, but the scores were level by the 52nd-minute.

Kieran Dowell struck for Norwich just before the break, with Teemu Pukki then equalising shortly after the restart.

It looked for all the world that the teams would share the points, until Ronaldo stepped up and notched his 60th hat-trick for club and country.

And the five-time Ballon d'Or winner recorded his latest treble in style.

The 37-year-old scored his first free-kick since returning to United last summer and it was a thing of beauty.

Tim Krul in the Norwich goal was powerless as Ronaldo thumped the ball into the back of the net using his trademark knuckleball technique.

It was a magnificent strike, one that made Chris Sutton eat his own words live on BT Sport.

While watching the game, the former Norwich striker was not convinced Ronaldo was going to score and even stated that the free-kick suited a left footer.

Poor ol' Chris was made to look foolish a few seconds later...

It's always best to avoid doubting Ronaldo when the world is watching.

The former Real Madrid and Juventus forward now has 15 Premier League goals to his name this season.

Only Liverpool's Mohamed Salah (20) and Tottenham Hotspur's Heung-min Son (17) have scored more than him.
