Paul Pogba was subjected to boos by Manchester United fans during the team's 3-2 win over Norwich City.

The French midfielder played 74 minutes at Old Trafford in a match that saw Cristiano Ronaldo score the 60th hat-trick of his professional career.

Pogba performed pretty well in the middle of the park, but received a hostile reception from the home crowd when he was replaced by Marcus Rashford.

The former Juventus man's contract expires in the summer and he's expected to leave United on a free transfer.

Pogba was evidently not happy with being booed on his home ground (who would be?) and he made his feelings towards the fans clear.

As he left the pitch after the full-time whistle had been blown, the World Cup winner could be seen cupping his hand to his ear.

He was not happy and the response is understandable.

Ralf Rangnick called on the United fans to not target individual players in his post-match interview.

"I can fully understand fans frustrated but [it] doesn't make sense to target individual players," the Red Devils manager said.

"It is a collective responsibility, so for me it doesn't make sense. This is why I will always defend and protect my players. Paul did well in possession of the ball in what was not his best position."

There is still a small chance Pogba could stay at United beyond this season, although events on Saturday will likely have pushed him even closer to the exit door.

The 29-year-old has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, as well as a return to Juventus.

If Pogba does leave United, it's safe to say the mega-money move has not really worked out for both parties.

There's been glimpses of his outrageous quality over the past six years or so, however, consistency has always eluded the midfielder in English football.
