Liverpool kept their unprecedented quadruple dreams alive on Saturday as they beat Manchester City in a dramatic FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

Jurgen Klopp's Reds roared out of the blocks, swarming all over City as they blew away their rivals in the first half.

City were washed away by a relentless red tidal wave as goals from Ibrahima Konate and a double from Sadio Mane all but sealed their spot in the final before the half was even out.

Of course, City would show their class to make a fist of it in the second stanza, running Liverpool mighty close but it ultimately proved to be a bridge too far.

One man who may be licking his significant wounds for some time to come is City's back-up goalkeeper, Zack Steffen.

With Pep Guardiola bizarrely rotating his squad, Steffen was given the biggest brief of his career as he was tasked with keeping a rampant Liverpool out.

It ultimately proved to be too tall an order for the 27-year-old who endured a game to forget between the sticks.

However, it was in the 17th minute that his afternoon truly reached its nadir with Mane pouncing on some truly lacklustre play at the back.

Steffen, standing in the mouth of his goal, dwelt on the ball for far too long, giving Mane the opportunity to pounce and score with perfectly timed sliding challenge.

It was a disastrous moment that saw City's mountain double in size as Liverpool grew in confidence and guile.

Hopefully, Steffen steered well clear of social media in the aftermath but one place he may not have been expecting to get heat from was one of the official FA Cup accounts.

The team in charge of the TikTok account, in particular, took absolutely no prisoners as they posted a short clip of the moment with some comedic audio dubbed over it.

You can see the clip below:

Brutal - surely they need to be a little more objective considering they are an official account?

Ultimately, it was Steffen's lapse in judgement that would cost City as they fell one goal short of pulling off an incredible comeback.

Liverpool will face either Chelsea or Crystal Palace on May 14 as they look to complete, at the very least, a domestic cup double.
