Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns broke character during a 'Saturday Night's Main Event' show in Erie, Pennsylvania last night.

Reigns came out victorious in an Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match against Drew McIntyre to retain his status as one of the most successful wrestlers in recent times.

The six-foot two inch wrestler has ruled SmackDown with an iron fist ever since he made his return to WWE television after a short hiatus at SummerSlam in 2020.

Only a few days after that return, he was able to recapture the Universal Championship and has held the title ever since.

Last time out, he went one further by defeating Brock Lesnar in what was named the 'biggest WrestleMania match of all time,’ cementing his legacy in the sport forever.

However, subsequent to him overcoming his latest opponent, The Tribal Chief sent out a heartfelt message to the fans, thanking them for their support of the WWE Superstars that do not get an off-season break.

Quickly after, the 36-year-old pleaded to the fans who had recorded the events as they unfolded to not post them on social media, as they are not meant to break character in front of fans.

It is not the first time Reigns has done this over the last month either, as Ryan Clark posted an exclusive video of him breaking character at a WWE live event in his hometown of Pensacola, Florida.

On both occasions the star showed his fans that he does have a softer side to the one which comes across during his matches and live televised appearances.

Roman Reigns is yet to find out his opponent for WrestleMania Backlash, but he could face Shinsuke Nakamura after Nakamura was attacked by The Usos and Reigns on a recent edition of SmackDown.
