Chelsea weren't exactly at their scintillating best during their FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon. As impressive as it might be that the Blues reached a third consecutive final in England's oldest cup competition, Liverpool will certainly be rubbing their hands at the prospect of facing the west London club. That's because Thomas Tuchel's men had to dig deep to secure themselves a 2-0 victory under the Wembley arch despite proving massive favourites against Patrick Vieira's Crystal Palace.

Chelsea 2-0 Crystal Palace

There were more than a few shaky moments for the European champions before a pair of second-half goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mason Mount eventually ensured that there would be no 'cupset'.

As such, there will be plenty for Tuchel and his coaching staff to mull over as they draw up a game plan to exact revenge on Liverpool, who overcame them in the League Cup final earlier this season.

And there's good reason to think that the German will be gunning for more urgency from his midfield because there were several occasions where Chelsea's engine room looked a little laboured this weekend.

A tough day for Jorginho

In particular, the output of Jorginho seemed to catch the eye of many supporters with the recent Ballon d'Or podium finisher not exactly enjoying his finest day's work in a Chelsea jersey.

Not only did the Italian's pondering and overthought passing have fans stabbing away at their keyboards, but even Tuchel himself was visibly fed up with the midfielder during the semi-final clash.

In fact, one example of Tuchel's fury was broadcast to the world with television cameras picking up the moment that the Chelsea boss made his feelings very, very clear to Jorginho in the first-half.

Tuchel loses his rag with Jorginho

That's because footage has been doing the rounds on social media of the 48-year-old losing his rag when Jorginho dilly-dallied on the ball to the extent that it completely killed the flow of Chelsea's play.

And while it might have won a foul for the team in yellow in the process, it looked as though Tuchel, frankly, couldn't have cared less.

Football.London have even confirmed that Tuchel's rampage was indeed about Jorginho as opposed to the referee's decision, clarifying: "his problem was not with the challenge and entirely with the Italian."

So, be sure to check out the moment that Jorginho got his own manager on his back by taking far too long on the ball down below:

Goodness gracious me. Nobody wants that from their boss.

Improvements needed

By all accounts, Jorginho did not deliver a vintage performance for the London club and that wasn't the only time that Tuchel seemed to be infuriated by one of his best performers last season.

Nizaar Kinsella of Goal even tweeted later in the game: "Tuchel sent Kante to warm up immediately after Jorginho overhits a scoop pass."

Pretty astonishing stuff, and no doubt Jorginho will need to have a word with himself if he's going to be trusted with a starting place against Liverpool on the back of such a disappointing performance.

Even the very best of players have an off day, but taking that long on the ball against a Jurgen Klopp side will only end in tears.
