Gareth Bale looked awkward after Sevilla 2-3 Real Madrid

Madrid’s jubilant squad celebrated passionately inside the away dressing at the Estadio Ramon Sánchez Pizjuan - with the exception of one player.

As the celebrations were filmed, Bale was seen standing around awkwardly while the rest of his teammates went wild.

Watch the footage here:

It’s sad to see Bale, who has achieved so many during his time with Real Madrid, standing around looking lost after such a big victory.

The Wales international, who showed his class during last month’s international break by scoring a stunning free-kick against Austria, was an unused substitute against Sevilla and clearly couldn’t enjoy the moment fully.

Madrid’s players all congregated to celebrate and pose for photos and Bale was nowhere to be seen.

What next for Gareth Bale?

It’s appeared for some time that Bale feels like an outsider at his own club.

The 32-year-old’s contract expires at the end of June and it would be a massive shock if he remains at the Bernabeu beyond this summer.

There’s even been talk that he might sign a short-term deal with a new club before retiring immediately after this year’s World Cup in Qatar if Wales qualify.

But hopefully he can rediscover his love for club football away from Madrid and then opts to continue what has mostly been a spectacular career at the highest level.
