Anthony Joshua is taking his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk very seriously.

With that being said, the former champion did recently enjoy some downtime. Posted on social media, a video of AJ certainly impressed boxing fans.

The British heavyweight was recently seen securing a great score on a punching machine after landing a huge blow in front of a gathered audience.

Joshua landed a brutal right-hook on the machine and registered an impressive score of 887.

The Brit was attending a community gathering over the weekend and you can see his punch attempt in the clip further down this article.

With a record of 24-2, AJ is coming off of a defeat to Usyk back in September of 2021.

He’ll be doing whatever it takes to reclaim the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles.

Both Joshua and Usyk are set to go toe-to-toe once again within the next few months. There have been early whispers that the rematch will take place in either June or July.

As things stand, the fight looks likely that it will take place in Saudi Arabia on July 23.

There was some scare as to whether or not the rematch will actually happen. After Russia opted to invade Ukraine, Usyk returned to his home nation and joined Kyiv’s territorial defence.

Usyk left his home nation and has officially begun preparing for the big showdown with AJ. As for the Brit, Joshua is set to start his training camp soon.

The former cruiserweight champion Usyk decided to move up to heavyweight back in 2019. Prior to the first clash with Joshua, the Ukrainian defeated both Chazz Witherspoon and Derek Chisora.

In the first meeting with Joshua, barely anyone gave the Ukrainian a chance. In the end, however, he produced a masterclass to stop Joshua in front of his home fans.

With the rematch due to take place in the summer, there is no doubt that both men will be itching to impress the boxing community, with Joshua itching to get his heavyweight tiles back.Â
