There was a rather bizarre incident involving a ball boy during Tranmere Rovers' 2-0 win over Exeter City on Monday afternoon.A goal from Josh Hawkes just before the half-time break and a late strike by Elliott Nevitt secured the win for Tranmere on home soil. But neither of those goals were the headline incident from the League Two game, which instead involved Exeter defender Chieck Diabate. In the 57th-minute of play, the 20-year-old became enraged with a ball boy's time wasting tactic by the corner flag and opted to push him with two hands.Diabate was certainly in the wrong and it's safe to say the ball boy didn't back down.In fact, he reacted as if he were ready to have a tear up with the Exeter player on the touchline and stewards eventually had to step in to defuse the situation.Check out footage of the incident...

Well, you certainly don't see that every game.

Diabate was booked by the referee for pushing the ballboy and to be honest, he was incredibly lucky the colour of the card was not red.

Back in 2013, Chelsea legend Eden Hazard was sent off for a physical altercation with a ball boy during a League Cup match away at Swansea City.

The Belgian - who's now with Real Madrid - found himself in hot water when he kicked a ball boy named Charlie Morgan, who had fallen on top of the ball in a bid to waste time.

Referee Chris Foy had no option but to send Hazard off and Morgan looked in considerable pain as he left the pitch clutching his side.

“The boy put his whole body on to the ball and I was just trying to kick the ball,” Hazard said after the game. “I think I kicked the ball and not the boy. I apologise.”
