With his side still in the hunt for an unprecedented quadruple, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has a number of potentially career-defining team talks ahead of him before the end of the season.

The charismatic German has been known to inject humour into his pre-match addresses over the years - even giving his team talk prior to the 2018 Champions League final in a pair of Cristiano Ronaldo-branded boxer shorts.

However, even in these light-hearted moments, the importance of getting a result is never lost in Klopp's dressing room.

There was an exception to this rule back in 2018, though, when Klopp took charge of a James Milner XI against a Stilyan Petrov XI, managed by former Liverpool manager Brendon Rodgers, in a charity encounter named 'A Match for Cancer'.

On this September afternoon at Celtic Park, the aim was to raise awareness and funds for a very important cause, all while having fun.

Klopp was certainly determined to have a laugh with his side - which included the likes of Dirk Kuyt, Jamie Redknapp, Micah Richards and Joe Hart - before kick-off as he delivered a hilarious pre-match team talk.

The Liverpool boss has had his gripes with a few of the game's high-profile pundits over the years - and embraced the opportunity to take a cheeky jibe at Redknapp and Richards on the day.

"I know a few of you as pundits, so you will play 120 minutes!" Klopp joked, before brilliantly summing up his carefree attitude to the match by telling his charges: "You decide how long you play. I don't care!"

"If you feel after 10, 15 or 20 minutes that you are not in the best shape anymore, believe me, we've realised it five minutes earlier," declared a smiling Klopp to howls of laughter from around the room.

You can check out the team talk, which earned Klopp a round of applause at the end, below.

Of course, after the laughter had subsided, there was still a match to be played in front of thousands of expectant fans in Glasgow.

Liverpool vs Man United: How well do you know the Premier League's eternal rivalry?

The game ended 3-3 with names such as Milner, Robbie Keane, Ashley Young and Gabby Agbonlahor getting on the scoresheet.

A great afternoon was had by all, not least Klopp himself.

Fantastic stuff from one of the biggest characters in the game.
