Ahead of WWE’s Stadium show in Cardiff this September, speculation has already begun on what role Drew McIntyre may have at the historic event.A main event with Roman Reigns is certainly the favourite among most fans, while meetings with Sheamus, Cody Rhodes and Tyson Fury have been thrown out as well. However, one additional star that should watch out when WWE and McIntyre head to these shores in September is former footballer turned pundit Chris Sutton.Since BT Sport took over the WWE contract in 2020, Drew - a staunch Rangers fan - has been embroiled in an on-going social media spat with Sutton, who became a hero at rivals Celtic during his playing days.Speaking to BT Sport, the Scottish Warrior has now sent out a warning to the former footballer and joked that he’d love a face-to-face blow-off with Sutton before his trip to Cardiff this autumn.

I can’t forget about Chris Sutton but I don’t think he’s gonna make it to Cardiff though. We’re just gonna get to the UK to start promoting the event and then you and I can take a jaunt through the UK doing some media spots, we’ll show up at his house and just headbutt him, get it on film. That’s good enough, he doesn’t have to come to the show, I’m just headbutting him on his doorstep [laughs].

Drew has long been a campaigner for the UK to host another stadium show, and his desire has been met with huge interest in the yet-to-be-named show, with 59,000 fans already pre-registering their interest.

September’s event will mark the first time WWE have held a stadium show in the UK since SummerSlam 1992 at London’s Wembley Stadium, which was headlined by the classic clash between Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart and The British Bulldog for the Intercontinental Championship.
