WWE Raw: Rhea Ripley's future predicted by fans after shock heel turn

Rhea Ripley attacks Liv Morgan on WWE Raw

Rhea Ripley, known for being one of WWE’s most likeable babyfaces, has split from her partnership with Liv Morgan and seemingly turned heel.

On the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, The Nightmare turned on her partner after the duo lost against tag team champions Sasha Banks and Naomi.

Ripley and Morgan had been pushing to become the new holders of the Women’s Tag Team Championship, but a run of defeats seem to have been the breaking point for the Aussie star.

Ripley blamed Morgan for their most recent loss and questioned where her partner was while she was being attacked by both Banks and Naomi inside the ring.

The Nightmare could be heard telling Morgan that she had “failed” the team, before brutally attacking her from behind and leaving her on the canvas.

Fans have responded to Ripley’s heel turn — many are distraught over the breaking up of the iconic tag team partnership and some are predicting the next chapter in The Nightmare’s career.

The popular take is that Ripley will join Edge’s new stable and an ultimate WWE heel faction will be born.

Edge has already been joined by Damian Priest, and other names including Finn Balor and Alexa Bliss have been thrown into the mix to join the group.

Before her partnership with Morgan, Ripley won the tag team title with Nikki A.S.H. The unlikely duo snatched the Championship from Natalya and Tamina in September 2021 and held it for two months, before being dethroned by Carmella and Queen Zelina.

The Super Brutality pushed to win the title back, but after three failed attempts, Ripley broke things off with Nikki A.S.H.

The Nightmare claimed she wanted to focus on her solo wrestling, but joined forces with Morgan last month.

However, it seems now is the time for Ripley to return to heel status and really show WWE what she is made of. They don’t call her The Nightmare for no reason.
