Sergio Perez has had a first look at the Miami GP circuit layout in real life as part of a Red Bull American road trip.

The Miami Grand Prix takes place for the first time on May 8th with it proving the newest race on the Formula 1 calendar, and there is a great deal of excitement surrounding the event.

Indeed, it's going to be exciting watching F1 cars blast around one of the most iconic cities on the planet, with it taking in landmarks like the Hard Rock Stadium.

And, whilst digital renders and virtual laps give you a decent idea of the track layout, Perez's recent run around the circuit in real life - though not fully finished at the time of recording - gives you a much better idea of what the track is going to look like.

Indeed, it came as part of a Red Bull road trip, which took in some famous landmarks around the States, and Perez had this to say about his first tour of the Miami circuit:

“I loved taking part in my first Red Bull road trip, I remember seeing the one of Daniel crossing the Golden Gate Bridge and never thought I would get the chance to be part of it. I think Miami is the perfect place for Formula One, it’s a very fun city and there’s a good energy there. The track is looking awesome and I can’t wait to see all the fans there. Austin always feels like a home race for me and I think Miami will be similar.”

It's a great bit of content from Red Bull and we can't wait to see this year's Formula 1 cars getting to grips with the circuit in Miami!
