Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou deserves plenty of credit for the way he has turned the club's fortunes around this season, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

The Hoops finished 25 points adrift of Rangers in the Scottish Premiership last term, but they are now on the brink of reclaiming the league title.

What's the current situation at Celtic?

Celtic started their campaign slowly, losing their first three away matches in the top-flight.

However, they have since gone on a staggering 27-game unbeaten run in the league, and have only drawn four times during this period. This has helped them open up a six-point gap at the top of the table, with just five games remaining.

Meanwhile, they also won the Scottish League Cup in December, although they were denied the chance of collecting a domestic treble this past weekend as they were beaten 2-1 by Rangers after extra time in the Scottish FA Cup semi-finals.

What has Bridge said about Celtic and Postecoglou?

Bridge has hailed Postecoglou for the impact he has had at Parkhead. He has specifically praised Postecoglou's recruitment in the transfer market, most notably bringing in four Japanese players - Kyogo Furuhashi, Reo Hatate, Yosuke Ideguchi and Daizen Maeda - since he arrived at the club.

Bridge told GIVEMESPORT: “You’ve got to give credit to Celtic and their manager Ange Postecoglou. He’s just come in and steamrollered it. If you look at Rangers in the table, they’re not actually doing that bad, they’ve not lost a lot. They’ve just drawn too many games, and they’ve lost to Celtic a couple of times.

“Celtic have brought in this manager from Japan, people scoffed at it. Let’s not forget, that’s where Wenger came from. He’s bought four Japanese players who’ve absolutely ripped the league to shreds. He’s bought other good players as well.”

When could Celtic wrap up the title?

Now that they have been knocked out of the cup, Celtic only have the league to focus on, and it seems like only a matter of time before they get their hands on the trophy.

On Sunday, Postecoglou's side travel to Ross County, looking to pick up their sixth win on the bounce.

If they get all three points, and Rangers drop points against Motherwell on Saturday, this will hand Celtic the opportunity to clinch the title against their arch-rivals in the final Old Firm derby of the season on May 1.

However, if Rangers beat Motherwell, Celtic will have to wait a little longer before they can be crowned champions for the tenth time in the last 11 seasons.
