England will be looking to win their second World Cup in Qatar this winter. As bonkers as that might sound, the simple fact of the matter is that the Three Lions are enjoying one of their best runs at major tournaments in their history. On back of reaching the semi-finals at the 2018 competition and going all the way to the Euro 2020 final, it's not from without the realms of possibility that England could conquer the globe.

Iconic England kits

And if they were to get their hands on the iconic trophy later this year, they can rest assured that everything about the team will be treasured by the nation for decades upon decades to come.

Just imagine the amount of knighthoods that would be dished out, the absolute scenes across the country and the immortal status that the match-winner would assume.

In fact, such would be the once-in-a-lifetime nature of a triumph that even the kit that England would wear while lifting the World Cup would never be forgotten.

You only have to look at how engrained the simple, all-red kit that England wore in the 1966 World Cup final has become in our nation's game to see exactly why that would be the case.

As such, there has been a great deal of anticipation surrounding the release of England's kit for the 2022 World Cup with thousands, if not millions, of fans inevitably set to splash out on it.

England's 2022 World Cup strip

And while there's still some way to go before Nike provide us with an official unveiling, the kit experts over at Footy Headlines give us the best possible chance to get ahead of the game.

That's because they've showcased predictions and projections for what could well be the loudest England home kit in history based on the leaked information that they've attained so far.

In early April, the kit boffins leaked a ball that features "the likely England 2022 World Cup home kit gradient design," from which graphic designers have been able to predict how the strip will look.

Projection of England's home kit

Concept designer ChelseaChampions used FIFA Kit Creator to have a stab at forecasting the final product and frankly, there's never been an England home kit like it before.

The main body of the traditional white background fades into sky blue and then navy down into the shorts and socks with one of the most blue-heavy England designs since the Euro 96 shirt.

And while Footy Headlines stress that it's hard to gauge the accuracy of the projection just yet, it nevertheless gives fascinating insight into what could become an iconic strip, so be sure to check it out:

So, what do you think? It's certainly, um, different.

The loudest England home kit ever

The wide-spread licks of blue from the logos down to the unmissable texturing at the bottom of the shorts means that, by our estimations, this would be the most out-there England home kit of all time.

Plus, even in a world where the projection is actually quite far off, the leaked information surrounding the ball still makes it almost certain that blue will be at the forefront of the new design.

And although it will inevitably divide supporters in the way that any bold and brave kit design does, you can rest assured that England could still make it iconic in Qatar even if the supporters hate it.
