Manchester United were completely outclassed in their Premier League clash against Liverpool on Tuesday evening.

United were second best from start to finish as they were defeated 4-0.

Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah (2) and Sadio Mane were on the scoresheet in a crushing loss for the Red Devils.

Ralf Rangnick was fuming while speaking in his post-match interviews.

When speaking to BeIN Sports, he said: "It's embarrassing. Completely disappointing. Humiliating. We just have to accept they are six years ahead of us.

"When you compare Liverpool's squad to the one Klopp inherited six years ago... They finished 8th with a point average of 1.6. This is roughly where we are with out current team.

"This team needs to be rebuilt, it is clear. A game like today showed in a very drastic way that this rebuild is necessary."

Paul Pogba went off injured early in the game, adding to United's current injury woes.

Speaking of the injury, he said: "He pulled his [calf] muscle. This is now the seventh or eighth player missing out with injury although we only play in one competition - this has to raise some questions. I’m not happy about that at all."

In another interview, Rangnick said there could be as many as ten players coming through the door in the summer.

He said, per Fabrizio Romano: "There will be a rebuild here. Six, seven, maybe TEN new players will come”.

Rangnick pulled no punches after the game and you can understand him ripping into United.

The gulf in class between the two sides was gargantuan on Tuesday evening at Anfield.
