No wonder Thiago received a standing ovation and an enormous hug from Jurgen Klopp - what an incredible performance!

It's crazy to think that a player that good only cost Liverpool £25 million.

Thiago's masterclass was rightly praised to the rafters on social media, while both Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher were drooling over his brilliance in the Sky Sports commentary box.

Jurgen Klopp also waxed lyrical about his midfield magician in a post-match interview with the BBC.

The German manager said: "He is a good player. We have to keep him fit. He has good rhythm, which helps. He is in the right spaces, the little turns and passes. We don't have five million players like this on the planet.

"Only a few see things earlier than everyone else and also have the technical ability to get the ball there as well. A top game from him. Everybody was outstanding and that is what you need to win against Manchester United."

Thiago really has added an extra dimension to Liverpool's midfield and it has turned the Reds into an even more devastating footballing machine.

Getting the ball off Klopp's side in midfield is harder than ever now and there are also five world-class forwards for opposing sides to be afraid of these days after the additions of Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota.

The quadruple is well and truly on.
